No, if your vehicle has a salvage title it is not legal to drive until it passes the GA inspection and is registered with the state.
Yes, if your vehicle has a rebuilt title from another state and has a current legal registration in your name.
Required documents for an Out of State rebuilt title are Original Rebuilt Title, Driver License, MV-1, T-129 & T-22R.
The document is required by the state. If no parts were used then mark the appropriate box. If you purchased in repaired condition you will list the person who sold the vehicle to you in the appropriate box at the bottom of the form.
Every state has different standards of establishing if a vehicle is deemed road worthy. Georgia requires a full safety and structural inspection on any vehicles with a history of salvage, rebuilt, flood, court order and several other circumstances.
In this case, on the T-129 form you should list the person you purchased the vehicle from at the bottom of the form where it says "I purchased this vehicle in Repaired Condition from" and enter the person / dealership information. You also may be required to get a Title Bond.
If you do not have a title then a Title Bond and a T-22B are required or a Court Order and T-22B are required in place of the title.

Every vehicle is different therefore each inspection time varies. Also, until further notice, due to COVID-19 there is no waiting area or public restroom(s) available. Upon check-in please notify us if you are dropping your vehicle. If you are planning on waiting with your vehicle please plan accordingly as it may take several hours.
As a resident of the State of Georgia, you are allowed to build two salvage vehicles per year. Also, as a licensed Used Car Dealer (UCAR) in the State of Georgia, you are also only allowed to build two salvage vehicles per year.

As a GA Licensed Rebuilder ("UP" Dealer), you are allowed to build as many salvage vehicles as you want in a year and through the 1988 Atty. Gen.'s decision, you are allowed to sell all the salvage vehicles that you rebuild without having a used car dealer's license.
