Common items to consider before your Inspection

GA SALVAGE INSPECTION, SALVAGE INSPECTION, GA SALVAGE INSPECTION STATION, SALVAGE INSPECTION STATION

  1. The Airbag (SRS) and ABS lights, MUST SELF CHECK. If equipped, in most vehicles, these lights will come on and stay on for 7 to 13 seconds and then go out (Self Check). If the lights do not come on at all OR if they come on & stay on, the vehicle will not pass.
  2. Per most manufacture guidelines a Creased Headliner due to curtain airbag deployment must be Replaced. Repaired headliners are not acceptable.
  3. The tires on the vehicle must be in good shape. The cords of the tire can not be showing and the wear on the tires cannot be down to the wear indicators.
  4. Front and Rear glass must be free of chips and cracks.
  5. Horn, all lights, and turn signals must function.
  6. Replacement parts can be New or Used parts. However, all Used parts must have the donor VIN listed on the receipt.
  7. Repairs can not be done with sheet metal screws or rivets (unless the manufacture procedures state otherwise). If adhesives are used the paint must be removed (in that area) to allow the adhesive to stick to the metal.
  8. Body filler must be used to a minimum (ie. you cannot create a fender out of body filler).
  9. Shims or Heavy filler are not acceptable between hinges and mounting surfaces (ie. "A" & "B" Pillar at Door Hinges). Hinges must mount flush.
  10. NO PAINT or UNDERCOATING on repairs or replacement parts.
